Xiayong is located in the east of Daya Bay District. It is backed by Tieluzhang Yinling in the north and faces Daya Bay in the south. It borders Renshan Town, Huidong County in the east and is adjacent to the Daya Bay Petrochemical Zone in the west. The total area under its jurisdiction is 81 square kilometers, and the coastline is 22 kilometers long. The climate is mild and rainfall is abundant. It is a typical subtropical climate.
