Dahan Sandun Tourism Area is located in Nanshan Town, Xuwen County, Guangdong Province, the site of the ancient Maritime Silk Road’s starting port during the Han Dynasty, and is adjacent to the Beigang Dock of the Yuehai Railway.

Dahan Sandun Tourism Area, themed around ‘Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Culture’, combines natural scenic spots such as mangroves, islets, lakes, and fishing villages to create a distinctive marine port culture tourism area.

Xuwen County in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, located at the southernmost part of China, has a history more than 1000 years earlier than Quanzhou in Fujian.

The Dahan Sandun Tourism Area, with its theme of ‘Han Dynasty Maritime Silk Road Culture’, integrates natural landscapes including mangroves, islets, lakes, and fishing villages, to establish a tourism area with the characteristics of the Dahan ocean port culture.

Legend has it that there are three small islets in the bay area of the new rural area of Dahan Sandun, known as Sandun Island. In ancient times, Sandun Island was called ‘Ying Island’ or ‘Little Penglai’.
