Xinlong Ecological Forest has preserved the original appearance of the wetland ponds as much as possible. Most of the facilities within the forest are made from ecological materials and processes. The management buildings are surfaced with wood, coated with tung oil in the ancient method to prevent decay, and covered with stone tiles on the roof. This significantly achieves energy saving, emission reduction, and low-carbon green practices.
Several pavilions are scattered throughout, adding a touch of wilderness to Xinlong Ecological Forest, which includes 12 scenic spots such as ‘Red Leaves Narrating Autumn’, ‘Moonlit Lotus Pond’, ‘Begonia Spring Hut’, ‘Aquatic Garden’, ‘Fallen Petals’, ‘Swan Building’, and ‘Bird Watching Pavilion’. Here, the endless willows, oaks, and metasequoias extend forward along the winding terrain and the secluded garden paths, merging with the distant water and sky.
As the breeze passes, the air rich in negative oxygen ions refreshes those who have long lived in the city. The clear water surface already shows the form of wetlands. Below the trees, on the slopes, and along the roads, grass and flower seeds are sown, and scattered wildflowers bloom in this bleak autumn, which is quite striking. The park is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00.
