Xinpu Park is an urban park built relatively early in Lianyungang City. Its planning began in 1956. Xinpu Park is located in the south of the old urban area of Xinpu. It is south of Longhai Pedestrian Street, adjacent to Xiyan River in the west and Hailian Road in the south. It covers an area of 110 mu (including 16.17 mu of water area and 93.82 mu of land area). When initially planned, Xinpu Park was determined to be a comprehensive cultural and recreational park in Xinpu.
Scenic areas, attractions, children’s playgrounds, animal viewing areas, flower cultivation and viewing areas, and waterside pavilions are organized and constructed using garden materials and techniques. Inside the east gate of the park, two tall and straight cedars serve as a screen. The flower beds on both sides of the path are covered with green grass. Flowers of all seasons compete in beauty. The 30-mu artificial lake shimmers. The willows along the lake shore dance with the wind. The seven-curved bridge lies flat on the lake surface. The waterside pavilion in Jinan is close to the wooden surface. Sitting in the pavilion and sipping tea, you can enjoy the surrounding landscape and the shimmering reflections on the water surface. Looking northeast, there is a mound made of soil dredged from the pond. The mountain is covered with lush forests. The mountain is not high and easy to climb. There is a square pavilion with wings. The scenery on the top of the mountain is natural. A clear pool of water divides the park into two scenic areas. All scenic areas and attractions are connected by winding paths.Opening hours: Open all year round from 8:30 to 17:00.
