Located in the historic Xizha Street, Xiqing Hall is a large-scale wedding and celebration hall dedicated to showcasing the traditional Jiangnan folk marriage customs and celebratory etiquette.
Comprising of two floors with four entrances and eight ancient halls, the venue includes: the front hall, wedding hall, council hall, sedan chair hall, back hall, three-deity hall, colorful pavilion, bridal chamber, backyard garden, and displays of traditional wedding customs such as dowry, decorations, props, attendants, clothing, pearl crowns, hangings, wedding boats, double happiness stickers, and musical ensembles.
Visitors can experience the authentic atmosphere of an old Jiangnan wedding and participate in this classical ceremony. The hall features traditional costume experiences, instant photography, paper-cutting, and other interactive projects for tourists, allowing them to truly appreciate the essence of why marriage was referred to as ‘a minor success’ in the past.
Open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00, with specific operating conditions subject to the daily opening status.
