Xitang Christian Church

Xitang Christian Church is located within the ancient town’s Si Xian Ci Alley. The church faces east and is oriented towards the west, with a breadth of four rooms and seven beam frames. An additional two beam frames were added to the north side. The beam structure is in the shape of a ‘person’ character, and the entire building is made of brick and wood, with blue bricks covering the floor. Previously known as the Gospel Hall, this Christian church has existed since before 1944, when it was constructed uniformly. It has been subject to continuous maintenance from then until now.
On the southwest side of the church, there is another two-story building (divided into five beam frames), originally used as the priest’s resting and office area. All the doors and windows have now been reconstructed. The church’s facade was renovated after the 1980s.
Passing through Chao Dongdai Street, there is a Christian dining hall facing west, with six rooms (one of which is a wood room) in a single-story building. On Sundays, a considerable number of elderly people still come here for worship. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the actual opening conditions on the day.
