Xu Fu’s Berth Mountain Scenic Area, also known as Xu Fu’s hometown, is located in Xufu Village, Jinshan Town,赣榆 County, 50 kilometers northwest of Lianyungang. Within the scenic area, there is a temple dedicated to Xu Fu, the Xu Fu Temple, which features a gate and tower in the style of Han Dynasty architecture, exquisitely crafted and imbued with a sense of antiquity. Inside the temple, a 3-meter-tall seated statue of Xu Fu faces southeast, gazing into the distance, embodying Xu Fu’s resolute wisdom and his longing for his homeland. In front of the temple, there are two lanterns, a gift from Japanese friends.

The western wing hall displays some unearthed cultural relics from Xu Fu’s hometown, including a grooved stone axe from the Neolithic Age and bricks and tiles from the Qin and Han dynasties. The hall also contains numerous photographs documenting Xu Fu’s footprints in Japan. The eastern and western corridors are adorned with rare granite reliefs from northern Jiangsu, including stone mushrooms from primitive society, as well as unearthed artifacts such as stone ship anchors and stone medicine mills. Today, the Xu Fu Temple is a must-visit destination for tourists from both China and abroad, particularly for Japanese visitors. It is open all year round from 08:30 to 18:00.
