Xueshan Rainbow Valley Tourism Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot, located 2.5 kilometers east of Yishui County, Shandong Province, covering a total area of 350 hectares, and was developed with investment in 2003. It now features attractions such as Snow Lotus Lake, Rainbow Valley, Happy Valley, Grass Sliding, and Fish Pond, making it a comprehensive tourist area that integrates sightseeing, leisure, vacation, entertainment, participation, and performance.
The main attraction, Rainbow Valley, primarily creates the beautiful scenery of viewing rainbows on sunny days through artificial rain and sunlight refraction. Entering Rainbow Valley, one is surrounded by misty rain overhead, gurgling streams beneath, and encircled by rainbows in the air. The valley is lush with various plants and adorned with pavilions, platforms, and arbors, evoking a dreamy Jiangnan water town feeling. Lover’s Valley includes a Rose Corridor, Matchmaker Temple, Embroidered Tower, and leisure wooden houses for couples to rest, along with rich traditional wedding customs performances, making it an ideal place for couples to relax and enjoy themselves. Happy Valley mainly consists of nearly a hundred sets of wooden devices forming primitive climbing facilities, as well as modern electric devices like Wild Bull, Flying Turtle, Space Fitness Instrument, Space Travel, and Thunder Cannon, making it a joyous home for children and middle-aged adults. The War Game Valley, covering more than 500 acres, was planned by experts from the National Defense University of China and the Jinan Military Region. It has been built with tunnel warfare areas, dense forest combat zones, ambush zones, shooting ranges, and bunkers scattered throughout, offering realistic war scenes and making it one of the largest military experience fields and national defense education bases in the country. Additionally, the scenic area offers thrilling grass sliding, child-friendly fish catching projects, and dining and barbecue areas with strong local characteristics. Operating hours are from April 1st to October 31st, 08:00-20:00; from November 1st to March 31st, 08:00-17:00. Preferential policies include: Children: Half price for children with a height of 1.2 meters (inclusive) to 1.5 meters (exclusive); Elderly: Free for elderly people aged 70 (inclusive) and above with valid identification; half price for those aged 60 (inclusive) to 70 (exclusive) with valid identification; Students: Half price for students with a valid full-time undergraduate or lower degree student certificate; Disabled: Free for those with first or second-level disability certificates; half price for those with third-level or lower disability certificates; Military: Free for active-duty military personnel and retired military officers with valid identification; Journalists: Free for those with annual press credentials issued by the State Press and Publication Administration.
