Located in Biancang Town, Tinghu District, Yancheng. This town is a thousand-year-old town recorded in the Song Dynasty history. Kuzi Peony is famous both at home and abroad for its strange, special, weird, and spiritual characteristics. Classical novels such as ‘Jing Hua Yuan’ and ‘Yancheng County Chronicles’ from the Ming and Qing dynasties have descriptions and records of it. Kuzi Peony blooms around Grain Rain, within three days before and after.

The flowers come in two colors, purple-red and pink, with golden stamens. When in full bloom, the vibrant colors contrast with the lush and thick leaves, which are verdant and seem to drip with freshness; the main trunk, however, appears weather-beaten and withered, like dry firewood. In normal years, each flower typically has twelve petals; in leap years, each flower usually has thirteen petals. The garden now has over 400 peonies and more than 70 varieties.

Every Grain Rain season, the garden is a splendid spectacle of blooming flowers, attracting a large number of visitors. The garden is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening conditions.
