Yancheng Ruins Park is located to the west of Yancheng Spring and Autumn Amusement Park, built on the site of a Spring and Autumn period city with a history of over 2500 years. It features a unique structure of three concentric cities and three rivers, resembling interlocking circles from above, which is quite fascinating.

The park is also a great place to enjoy the better vegetation during spring and autumn, allowing visitors to take a leisurely stroll while learning about history. From the innermost to the outermost, Yancheng Ruins consist of the inner city, inner city river, middle city, middle city river, outer city, and outer city river.

Most of the architectural relics from thousands of years ago have disappeared, and what remains, such as the Yancheng Turtle Statue, Yan Jun Hall ruins, and Sun Wu’s Thatched Cottage, are all replica buildings.

Inside the park, signs narrate interesting stories from the Spring and Autumn period, such as the ruler Yan Jun mistakenly killing his beloved daughter, Princess Bailing.

To the west of Yancheng Ruins, there are still the legendary burial mounds of Princess Bailing’s three body parts: Tou Dun, Du Dun, and Jiao Dun. According to archaeological excavations of Tou Dun, it was indeed used for burial, and it is speculated that the tomb owner might have been a noblewoman.

Yancheng Ruins Park has two main entrances; entering from the west gate leads directly to the park, while the east gate is located inside Yancheng Spring and Autumn Amusement Park. With an amusement park ticket, visitors can tour the park for free.

Upon entering Yancheng Ruins Park, staff will tie a wristband to visitors as a mark. After touring the ruins and returning to the amusement park, visitors can simply show the wristband; otherwise, they would need to purchase a new ticket.

There are three ways to tour Yancheng Ruins Park: walking, taking a sightseeing vehicle, and riding a bamboo raft. Walking allows visitors to explore every corner of the park; the sightseeing vehicle cannot reach the inner city and requires visitors to disembark and tour on foot. Staff will punch a hole in the sightseeing ticket, and another hole will be punched when returning to the east gate of the park (leading to Yancheng Spring and Autumn Amusement Park), so it is essential to keep the ticket safe.

Bamboo rafts travel along the park’s waterways and require separate ticket purchase.

The park is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00, with ticket purchasing times being 08:30 to 16:00 for January, February, and December, and 08:00 to 16:00 for March to November.
