Situated within the Yangzhou Lacquer Factory, the Yangzhou Art Museum boasts an exhibition area of nearly ten thousand square meters, showcasing a collection of fine arts and crafts from Yangzhou, encompassing 26 major categories, making it one of the largest comprehensive art and craft museums in China.
The museum displays over 2,000 pieces of exquisite and rare artifacts across 26 categories, including the resplendent and elegant lacquerware, smooth and spirited jade carvings, simple and delicate Yangzhou embroidery, intricate silver paper-cuttings, lifelike papyrus flowers, regal and luxurious gold and silverware, and the ingenious ‘Ba Ke’ carvings. Additionally, there are thousands of sets of tourist souvenirs, gifts, and various decorative items.
In the exhibition hall, lightboxes showcase the talents of seven national masters of Chinese arts and crafts, as well as over thirty provincial masters and celebrities. The museum also features performance rooms for masters, folk arts, tea ceremonies, quyi performances, and a comprehensive crafts shop, integrating appreciation, performance, shopping, and leisure.
The museum is open all year round from 12:00 to 00:00.
