Yangzhou Chen Garden is invested and constructed by Yangzhou folk collection enthusiasts. After ten years, ancient houses were transported back from Anhui, Shanxi and other places and’recombined’ into a garden in Yangzhou. Chen Garden is based on the former residence of Gao Xiang, the only native of Yangzhou (from Ganquan) among the ‘Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou’. It takes Yangzhou culture and legends of the Eight Eccentrics as the conception.
The architecture is characterized by integrating Huizhou and Yangzhou styles. It is mainly divided into two parts. One is the east residence, called ‘Salt Merchant’s Dream Garden’, which is mainly a museum that truly reproduces the life of salt merchants. The other is the restored former residence and west garden of Gao Xiang, one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round. Supplementary notes on preferential policies: 1. Free ticket policies: a. Children under 1.4 meters (including) (must be accompanied by adults when entering the park); b. People over 70 years old (including) (present ID card); c. Military personnel (present active duty military officer card); d. Retired cadres (present ‘Honorary Certificate for Retired Cadres of the People’s Republic of China’); e. Journalists (present ‘Press Card’ issued by the State Press and Publication Administration); f. People with disabilities across the country with valid certificates; g. Tour guides with tour guide certificates and travel itineraries dispatched by travel agencies are free to lead groups. The above free tickets are only for the main entrance ticket.
