Ye Mountain National Mine Park is located in Nanjing City, adjacent to the Jinniu Lake Scenic Area and the Guizi Mountain Stone Forest Scenic Area.

The park is primarily characterized by its mining heritage landscapes, including the Wuwang Valley, Tangkou, Grand Canyon, Immortal Cave, F8 Fault, narrow-gauge railway, steam locomotive, underground tunnels, mining levels, and mineral processing relics. These features are rare, unique, diverse, and typical.

It serves not only as an excellent classroom for popularizing geological knowledge but also as a historical record of mining operations.

Artificial scenic spots such as the Smelting Pavilion, White Dragon Pool, Water Cascade, Divine Turtle Stone, Lake Viewing Pavilion, and viewing platforms encapsulate the history and legends of Ye Mountain’s transformation, King Liu Bi’s copper mining and iron smelting for coinage and weaponry, and the hometown of the Little White Dragon, as well as the tradition of the Dragon’s Head-raising Festival on the second day of the second lunar month.

The Mine Park Museum showcases the mining and extraction scenes of Ye Mountain since the Western Zhou Dynasty, displaying the work and life scenes of miners, and fully utilizes modern technological elements such as sound, light, and electricity, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the local customs and historical changes of Ye Mountain Iron Mine over the years.

Opening hours are from 08:30 to 16:30 all year round. A must-see feature of the park is the slow-moving miniature train, offering an experience of sitting on an old steam train, traveling from north to south, and enjoying the scenery of Jinniu Lake Scenic Area, Guizi Mountain Stone Forest National Geological Park, and other attractions.
