Located beside the Waterfall Road, Huang Miao Temple is nestled among lush greenery and tall bamboos. In the summer of 1936, it was initiated and funded by Huang Fu, Zhang Jingjiang, and Zhang Xiaolin. Originally named ‘Mogan Mountain Lecture Hall’, it was later renamed to ‘Lian Society’, and finally to ‘Huang Miao Temple’, serving as a place for those who come to the mountain to escape the heat for regular meditation and chanting. The temple features five halls with a golden glazed tile roof, vermilion eaves, and doors and windows carved with the Eight Immortals’ colorful images. The exterior walls are adorned with semi-circular glass, and the structure is spacious and grand, resembling a palace-style architecture. It is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific operating conditions subject to the day’s opening status.
