The Yi River, also known as Yi River, is a significant river in the Siyi and Mulan river system of the Huai River basin. It is located in the southern part of Shandong Province and the northern part of Jiangsu Province, and is a tributary of the ancient Huai River’s branch, the Si River. Originating from the northern slope of Niujiao Mountain, upstream of Tianzhuang Reservoir in Yishui County, Shandong, the river flows north past Yishui County, then turns south, passing through Yishui, Yinan, Linyi, Mengyin, Pingyi, and Tancheng, among other counties and cities. It enters the Xinyi River in Wulou Village, Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province, and reaches the Yellow Sea at Yanwei Port. The river is open to visitors all day long.
