Zhu Xi, a Song Dynasty scholar, wrote in his ‘Record of Visiting Baizhang Mountain’, ‘Before me stands Mount Lu, with a solitary peak standing out’. To the west of this building lies a lake stone named ‘Duxiu Peak’. The courtyard in front of the building is known as ‘Shilin Courtyard’, which is adorned with Taihu stone peaks such as Wan Cui, Ying Hui, Duan Jin, and Jing Shuang. The garden owner, a stone enthusiast, borrowed from the story of Mi Fu worshipping stones, and thus named the building Yifeng Xuan. The architecture is of the hard mountain style, appearing as two and a half rooms, but in reality, it is only one and a half rooms. The name has been in use since the time of the Liu family and is still in use today. The building is open all year round from 07:30 to 17:00.
