Yinfu, born on June 11, 1910, in a peasant family under the big elm tree south of Daxu Village, Huaizhu Township, Xiangshan County. He was a proletarian revolutionary poet and one of the ‘Five Martyrs of the League of Left-Wing Writers’. The main room of Yinfu’s former residence has three sections. The eastern part was where Yinfu lived and studied as a teenager; the eastern adjacent room is the place of his birth.
The western part is now used for management. The eastern and western side rooms are now exhibition rooms displaying his deeds. The backyard, originally a vegetable garden, now features a pond and a corridor. In the pond stands a hexagonal pavilion with a stone monument inscribed with the words ‘Poetry Prodigy’ by revolutionary poet Ding Ling. The walls of the corridor are adorned with over 60 stone tablets, engraved with revolutionary verses by Yinfu, written by calligraphers from all over the country. The residence is open all year round from 09:00 to 16:30.Yinfu’s Former Residence
