Yizheng Drum Tower is located in the center of Zhenzhou Town, where the Yizheng Municipal Government is situated. It was constructed during the Ming Dynasty’s Chenghua period and has a history of nearly 600 years. Despite the passage of time and various restorations across different eras, the tower has maintained its original appearance. The structure features a double-eave roof with nine ridges and a surrounding corridor, exuding a strong sense of ancient charm.
Beneath the tower, there are inscriptions on steles that record the historical facts of Japanese pirates invading the southeast coast, which adds significant historical value to the site. It is one of the three remaining drum towers in Jiangsu Province. The opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.Yizheng Drum Tower
