Yizhou Pavilion is located within Dongpo Park, which was established in 1954 and expanded from the original Yizhou Pavilion, exuding a rich cultural atmosphere. The park is home to towering ancient trees, an elegant and simple environment, and numerous cultural relics and historical sites.

The treasure of the park, Yizhou Pavilion, was first constructed during the Southern Song Dynasty, with a history of over 800 years. It was built at the site where Mr. Dongpo abandoned his boat and entered the city. Su Dongpo visited Changzhou 11 times throughout his life and eventually passed away here. During the Southern Song period, the local people of Changzhou built the ‘Yizhou Pavilion’ in his memory.

Yizhou Pavilion features a distinctive quadrilateral design with double eaves and nine ridges, situated on higher ground within the park. It is adorned with exquisite brick and wood carvings. The pavilion’s roof is decorated with motifs such as two dragons playing with a pearl, as well as immortal cranes, divine dragons, and swimming fish, all of which hold significant artistic value.

Opening hours and operational status are subject to the park’s daily schedule.
