Upon arriving at Yong’an Mountain, one is immediately reminded of paragliding. This location is renowned for being home to one of Asia’s largest artificial paragliding bases and is also recognized as China’s paragliding base. Here, visitors can indulge in the exhilarating sensation of flying. While the experience is brief, lasting only 10-15 minutes, and there is often a queue of enthusiasts waiting to glide when the weather is favorable, these fleeting moments create memories that can last a lifetime.
Yong’an Mountain is situated in the eastern part of the town. To reach its summit, one can begin their ascent from Qianshanwu Natural Village, climbing along Zhiji Ridge and passing ‘Daping Bridge.’ Historically, a temple once stood atop the mountain. Unfortunately, Miaozhi Temple was destroyed in the 1970s due to the construction of the Yong’an Reservoir. In its place, a high mountain farm has been established, and a mountain road has been constructed. The mountain now boasts 300 acres of sightseeing forest and a high mountain free-range chicken farm. The restoration and reconstruction of ‘Miaozhi Temple’ are also anticipated.
Yong’an Mountain welcomes visitors all year round. The operating hours are as follows: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, and Saturday to Sunday from 08:30 to 17:00.
