Yongfu Zen Temple

Yongfu Zen Temple in Hangzhou is located at the base of the Shizhu Peak, about one mile west of Lingyin. With a history of over 1600 years since it was founded by the Eastern Jin Dynasty’s Master Huili, the temple complex is nestled against the mountainside.


It is divided into five open courtyards: the Universal Pure Courtyard, Jialing Lecture Courtyard, Ziyan Wisdom Courtyard, Ancient Fragrance Zen Courtyard, and Fuquan Tea Courtyard. The temple boasts seven progresses, five halls, three auditoriums, two pavilions, two towers, five pavilions, and over a thousand ancient and famous trees, making it one of the largest temples in Hangzhou.


It is open to visitors all year round from 08:00 to 17:30.
