Yuanjue Cave is located on Yunju Mountain 1.5 kilometers southeast of Anyue County. It is named after the twelve Yuanjue carved on the mountain. The stone carvings here are distributed on the south and north rocks. There are 76 niches numbered. There are 1993 large and small stone carvings. The content is mainly Buddhism, and there are a small number of combined niches of Taoism and Buddhism. In addition, there are 25 inscriptions. The stone carvings here began to be carved in the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty. Through the Former Shu and Later Shu, it reached its peak in the Northern Song Dynasty and was completed in more than 400 years.
