Yuchi Park is located in the scenic southern scenic area of Jintan City, adjacent to the Danjinli Canal. It is a cultural and folk park with a strong cultural atmosphere and human landscapes. This place was originally the site of Wu Family Garden built by Wu Langshu, a scholar in the Qing Dynasty, to commemorate his striving and progress in his youth. In the design of Yuchi Park, plant landscaping is the main focus. Combined with terrain and garden paths, it is equipped with pavilions, ponds, embankments, bridges and waterside pavilions, fully reflecting the classical Jiangnan garden style and the ecological effect of plant diversity. In terms of plant configuration, the original big trees are preserved, and the drought-resistant tree species Populus purpurea is introduced. The local tree species such as Zelkova schneideriana, cedar and Magnolia grandiflora are the main tree species. Trees, shrubs and grasses are cleverly combined. The construction of waterfront green space is emphatically strengthened to highlight the characteristics of Jiangnan water towns. The garden lights in the park are energy-saving lamps, and the water for greening irrigation is river water. It is an energy-saving and water-saving park. This is a characteristic park with cultural education as the theme. At present, there are three museums and one academy in the park, namely Duan Yucai Memorial Hall, Museum, Hua Luogeng Memorial Hall and Dai Shulun Poetry Academy. Open all year round and open all day.
