Yuhua Gate, named after the nearby Yuhua Terrace, is one of the additional gates of the Ming City Wall in Nanjing. It was established in 1936 by the Nanjing Nationalist Government on the basis of the Ming City Wall to connect the railway. In the 1950s, Yuhua Gate and the city walls on both sides were successively demolished. In 2009, Yuhua Gate was reconstructed as a triple-arch city gate. Yuhua Gate is located in the Qinhuai River section of the main canal, near the 1865 Industrial Creative Park, Tiger Head, and the Qinhuai River sightseeing belt. It is open all year round and available 24 hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
