Yuhua Scenic Area

Yuhua Scenic Area is a tourist attraction in Dongshan with a long history, beautiful scenery and a large area. It can directly reach the top of Molifeng. The name ‘Yuhua’ of the Yuhua scenic area comes from the Ming Dynasty. At that time, the mountain col was full of peach orchards. Every March and April, the petals fall like a rain of flowers falling from the sky. Thus, the name ‘Yuhua’ came into being.

There are now more than one hundred precious ancient trees in the scenic area, all with a tree age of over one hundred years. Therefore, it is also called Dongshan Forest Park. And there are also more than twenty scenic spots and historical sites from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties preserved. Yuhua Scenic Area is a historical museum integrating the ancient architectural art, carving art and calligraphy art of Dongshan.

There are a total of eighteen landscapes in the scenic area. At present, more than ten landscapes such as viewing lawn, Dongtingxuan ancient house, Tang and Song poetry corridor, double springs in the Ming Dynasty, eight steeds galloping, Song bridge and Mingji, Yinxin stone house, exploring Rongyang, Huanging scenic spots, Yuhua Buddhist temple and Zuimolou have been built and opened to the public.

Opening hours: Open from 08:30 to 16:00 all year round.
