Yunlong Academy was originally established in the 60th year of the Kangxi Emperor’s reign (A.D. 1721), and was reconstructed into Yunlong Academy during the 13th year of the Yongzheng Emperor’s reign (1735) by Xuzhou Prefect Li Genyun. Renowned poet and top scholar Feng Xu served as the principal, and scholars Wang Qilin and Liu Xiang served as teachers. In 1996, the garden department restored ancient buildings such as the White Deer Grotto, Lake View Pavilion, and Ke Lang according to historical records, partially recreating the former glory of Yunlong Academy.
The reconstruction project of Yunlong Academy was completed in 2014. The academy is closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; it is open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesdays to Sundays, with the specific business status subject to the daily opening situation.Yunlong Mountain Scenic Area – Yunlong Academy
