Yunmeng Mountain Scenic Area is located in Miyun District, Beijing, approximately 80 kilometers away from the city center of Beijing. It is a renowned scenic spot, national forest park, and national geological park in Beijing. Recognized as a scenic area of Beijing in 2000, it was designated as a national forest park and national geological park in 2009. Yunmeng Mountain combines the grandeur of Mount Tai, the danger of Mount Hua, the peculiarity of Yellow Mountain, and the elegance of Mount Emei, earning the nickname ‘Little Yellow Mountain of the North’.

The ‘Blue Sky and Grey Ridges, Bright and Shining Golden Peaks’ stretch for hundreds of miles, with the Northern Qi and Ming Dynasty Great Walls complementing the Miyun Reservoir, making it a rare place in Beijing where one can appreciate mountains, waters, the Great Wall, clouds, waterfalls, and stone pines.
