Yunnan South Road Gourmet Street is located in Huangpu District in the center of Shanghai. It starts from Jinling East Road in the south and ends at Yan’an East Road in the north, with a total length of 250 meters. The gourmet street was established on the occasion of the preparation of the first Huangpu Tourism Festival in September 1991. It was originally named ‘Great World Gourmet Street’. In 1992, it was renamed ‘Shanghai Gourmet Street’. In September 1998, it was renamed again as ‘Yunnan South Road Gourmet Street’. In September 1999, in the first selection of municipal commercial characteristic streets in Shanghai, Yunnan South Road Gourmet Street was named as one of the first batch of Shanghai’s professional commercial characteristic streets.
