The Yushan City Wall is a section of the Changshu city wall along Yushan Mountain. It encloses the eastern foothills of Yushan Mountain and runs from southwest to northeast with a length of about 1400 meters. The Yushan Gate tower is in the middle. The city wall extends to the Xicheng Pavilion and Fucheng Gate in the southwest and to Zhenhaitai in the northeast. Walking on the city wall, you can overlook the cityscape of Changshu. The Yushan City Wall was first built in the Wude period of the Tang Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1380 years. It was originally an earthen city. From 1341 to 1368, the earthen city was changed into a brick city wall. In 1553, the city wall was rebuilt. The city wall has been rebuilt several times in history. What we see now is restored on the basis of the Ming Dynasty city wall in modern times. Opening hours: Open from 08:15 to 16:15 all year round.
