The Yushan sightseeing ropeway is located between Xingfu Temple and Yushan Jianmen. It runs through the northern foot of Yushan Mountain. It is a single-line circular, fixed grip, and double-person gondola passenger ropeway. It is 1068 meters in length and has a total of 90 gondolas. The operating speed is 1 meter per second. The one-way passenger capacity is 300 people per hour. The riding time is 20 minutes.
It lies to the northwest of Changshu City. It is bordered by the Yangtze River in the north and Shanghu Lake in the south. It is named after Yu Zhong (also known as Zhong Yong), an ancestor in the south of the Yangtze River during the Shang and Zhou dynasties, who was buried here. The southeastern foothill of Yushan Mountain extends into the ancient city, so it has the reputation of ‘ten li of green mountains, half of which enter the city’.
