The Zhang Chongren Memorial Hall is located at No. 75, Puxi Square, Qibao Ancient Town, Minhang District, Shanghai, the hometown of Mr. Zhang Chongren. It officially opened in March 2003. It covers an area of 504 square meters, with a building area of 700 square meters and an exhibition hall area of about 640 square meters. It is a two-story courtyard building of brick and wood structure in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
The museum displays and collects more than 600 precious materials such as sculptures, paintings, physical objects and related newspapers, periodicals and photos of Mr. Zhang Chongren. There are four exhibition areas: the preface hall, ‘Renowned in Europe’, ‘Spring and Autumn in the Studio’ and ‘Master of Sculpture’, showing the life story and artistic achievements of a generation of master sculptors.Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday all year round from 09:30 to 16:30; Closed all day on Monday all year round.
