The Zhedong Small Jiuzhai scenic area is located at the northern foot of Siming Mountain, in Zhilin Village, Dayin Town, Yuyao City, Ningbo. It is invested and developed by Ningbo Huadongcheng Group. Due to its continuous mountains, curved mountain col, abundant bamboo forests, crisscrossing streams, and charming scenery of secluded valleys, streams and bamboo forests, it is known as ‘Zhedong Small Jiuzhai’.
The scenic area has convenient transportation. It only takes 30 minutes by car to reach downtown Ningbo and is within one hour’s transportation circle of Ningbo City. At the same time, there are many popular folk cultural legends and touching revolutionary deeds in Zhedong Small Jiuzhai. ‘There is Nyingchi in Tibet and Zhilin in Ningbo.’ Zhilin Village where the scenic area is located is a famous ‘anti-Japanese village’ and is also the current residence of the East Zhejiang Provisional Party Committee. It was once the location of the Cinan Engineering Task Force and the temporary residence of the Sanbei Guerrilla Command. The Baiyan Temple scenic spot in the scenic area is also a red site. In the later period of the Anti-Japanese War, Baiyan Temple was once the rear hospital of the General Guerrilla Column and took care of the wounded and sick soldiers of the Third and Fifth Columns. The air in the scenic area is fresh and has an extremely high content of negative oxygen ions. It is known as a ‘natural oxygen bar’.
