Zhili Town is located in the eastern part of Wuxing District, Huzhou City, bordered by Taihu Lake to the north and adjacent to National Highway 318 and the Changhu-Shengxin shipping channel to the south.
On December 7, 2016, Zhili Town was designated as a comprehensive pilot area for the third batch of national new urbanization.

In October 2018, it was selected into the top 100 of the ‘2018 National Comprehensive Strength Top 1000 Towns’.
