Zhongcui Palace served as the residence for concubines during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a two-part complex with the main entrance facing south, named Zhongcui Gate. The front courtyard’s main hall is the Zhongcui Palace itself, adorned with five mythical creatures on the ridge of the eaves, featuring single-翘 single-昂 five踩 dougong brackets, and decorated with Su-style painted designs.
