The Chinese Filial Piety Park faces Taihu Lake and backs against Liaoe Mountain. It combines filial piety culture and Guanyin culture. Here, you can see the Liaoe Temple built in memory of Wang Piu, one of the Twenty-four Filial Exemplars, and also see the tall statue of Guanyin. The buildings in the scenic area are very new. The surrounding environment has rural charm. However, the location is remote and it is more suitable for self-driving tours. The gate of the Chinese Filial Piety Park is on the shore of Taihu Lake. The layout inside is similar to Lingshan Scenic Area in Wuxi. Entering the gate, you first see the Sien Square. The square is in a lake. In the center stands a pure white vase 12 meters high. There will be fountain shows regularly. Then you encounter a fork in the road. Turning right leads to the Ancestral Temple. Turning left on the Bodhi Avenue leads to the Guanyin Sacred Realm. Inside the Ancestral Temple, various deities such as Yan Emperor, Huang Emperor, Fuxi and Nüwa are enshrined. The east and west halls are genealogy and culture museums. The 105 wing rooms on both sides are ancestral temples of surnames. On the way to the Guanyin Sacred Realm, you encounter another fork in the road leading to the Liaoe Temple. The Liaoe Temple was first built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has been rebuilt many times after being destroyed in successive dynasties. There are still an ancient well and stone pillar carvings and other relics of the Ming Dynasty. The yellow walls and black tiles of the temple are surrounded by lush trees and it is very quiet. After visiting the Liaoe Temple, turn back to the Bodhi Avenue and continue walking. You will also pass the Filial Piety Museum. Then you will enter the mountain gate of the Guanyin Sacred Realm. The latter part is all related to Guanyin. In the Zhengfaming Hall, Zhengfaming Tathagata (the previous life of Guanyin Bodhisattva) and twelve Yuanjue Bodhisattvas are enshrined. Climbing up a slope along the stepped road, you can reach the main scenic spot in the Guanyin Sacred Realm, Jiangnan Grottoes. There is a glittering statue in each of the three artificially excavated grottoes. In the middle is Guanyin Bodhisattva, and on both sides are Sudhana and Little Dragon Girl. After visiting the Chinese Filial Piety Park, you can take a walk by Taihu Lake and enjoy the breeze and watch a sunset on Taihu Lake. In addition, there are special bicycle lanes on both sides of the Huantaihu Road at the entrance. If self-driving tourists bring bicycles with them and come here, they can ride for a while, which is also very interesting. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 16:30.
