Zhongshan Wharf is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Nanjing and is also known as Xiaguan Wharf. Before the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge was opened in the past, people crossed the river by ferry via Zhongshan Wharf. On the opposite bank is Pukou Railway Station (Nanjing North Station). The transportation at the wharf was extremely busy. After the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge was opened and Pukou Railway Station was suspended, only some local people still take the ferry at Zhongshan Wharf. However, due to the strong Republican style of Zhongshan Wharf and Pukou Railway Station, many literary youths and photography enthusiasts are attracted to take pictures and reminisce here. Its tourism significance is gradually greater than its transportation role. Nowadays, Zhongshan Wharf still operates the ‘Ningpu Line’ ferry to Pukou Wharf. From 5:00 to 23:00, there is a ferry every 20 minutes. The one-way journey takes 15 minutes and the fare is 2 yuan. Pukou Wharf is close to Pukou Railway Station. Taking a ferry and looking at the old railway station, you can take a nostalgic trip to the Republic of China here. Opening hours: Open all year round from 06:00 to 19:00; Open all year round from 06:00 to 19:30.
