Zhu Mountain Scenic Area is located at the foot of Zhu Mountain in the west of Yunlong Lake, Xuzhou City, encircling the entire Zhu Mountain range. It covers a total area of 80 hectares, with a total project length of 3.6 kilometers and a total investment of 200 million yuan, implemented by the Municipal Bureau of Parks and Gardens. The entire project started construction on March 19, 2011, and was fully completed by the ‘May Day’ of 2012 after a year of construction.
The project is centered around Taoist culture, with the spiritual journey of Zhang Daoling, the founder of Taoism from Feng County, Xuzhou (attaining enlightenment, cultivation, battling, establishing, and ascension) as the main thread. It features attractions such as the Crane’s Singing Platform, Hundred Herbs Altar, Heavenly Master Square, Founding Path, Divine Way, Heavenly Master Ridge, and Auxiliary Yuan Square to showcase Taoist culture. At the same time, it fully emphasizes human participation and integration, with the rational spatial layout and division of dynamic and static areas through plant cultivation. It has distinctive features, complete infrastructure, and is an open-themed scenic area integrating leisure, ecology, and nature.
