Tsuji Ayano / つじあやの was born in Kyoto City. She began hosting live performances and composing music and lyrics since high school. She made her official debut in 1999 with the song ‘My Feelings for You’ on SPEEDSTAR RECORDS.
The theme song ‘Becoming the Wind’ for the 2002 Studio Ghibli film ‘The Cat Returns’ was very popular. Tsuji Ayano’s theme song ‘Becoming the Wind’ for Studio Ghibli’s film ‘The Cat Returns’ was a huge success, making her a popular Japanese ukulele singer with songs like ‘I Want to Be a Cat’ and ‘The Moon is Crying’.
In recent years, she has created many pieces for a wide range of genres, including advertising songs, film music, and TV drama music. In 2017, she became a mother and in 2018, she provided an original theme song for a project encouraging newborns by KTS Kagoshima TV station. She has also been involved in creative activities from a child’s perspective.
In 2022, she released her latest album ‘HELLO WOMAN’. In November 2024, she will perform for the first time in China in Shanghai and Guangzhou. Keyboardist Saka Kazuya will also participate as a supporting musician.
The performance will start at 20:00 on Saturday, November 9th, subject to the live schedule. Her soft voice hides strength, and with the lively sound of the ukulele, immerse yourself in the enchanting night.
