On September 2nd, a charming spectacle unfolded in the century-old Shanghai-style alley known as ‘Moon in the Alley, East Meets West’ as the 2024 INLET 8 · Light Art Season commenced. The entire alley, steeped in history, is inspired by the concept of ‘the moon shared under the sky’, transforming into a romantic realm where East and West meet in dialogue. Eight sets of giant, adorable rabbit lighting installations have been unveiled, each with a unique name that adds to the enchanting atmosphere:

1. ‘Competing for the Moon with Hundreds of Boats’
2. ‘Building Dreams and Condensing the Moon’
3. ‘Leisurely Moon in Floating Life’
4. ‘Exploring the Moon with Earth-shaking Feats’
5. ‘Initiating Creation and Starting the Moon’
6. ‘Peeking at the Moon in the Alley’
7. ‘Holding the Moon in the Alley’
8. ‘Overlooking the Moon from a Jade Tower’

Each set, when discovered, offers a delightful surprise. Their endearing appearances draw people to pause and admire. As part of the Hongkou branch venue of the Shanghai Tourism Festival, INLET 8 will present over 100 diverse activities until mid-October. These activities are organized around five major themes:
