The National Art Fund’s 2024 project for the promotion and exchange of ‘Eternal Cultural Pulse – Beauty of Life: Yangtze River Basin Folk Arts Innovation Design Exhibition’ adheres to the value of ‘harmonious coexistence between humans and the Yangtze River’. It combines the narrative of ‘Shengsheng’ aesthetics, focusing on the wisdom of creation with ‘Heavenly Timing, Earthly Qi, Material Beauty, and Skillful Craftsmanship’, forming a knowledge system related to ‘Individual – Wind and Scenery – Space – Community’ in folk arts. The exhibition showcases the grand and vibrant folk craft culture of the Yangtze River Basin through three sections: ‘Origin: Creation of All Things’, ‘Flow: Mutual Integration and Coexistence’, and ‘Confluence: Rebirth of Skill’. It explores the innovative development paths of design deeply involved in folk crafts in the Yangtze River Basin, elucidates the inclusiveness and contemporaneity of Yangtze culture, and highlights the outstanding contribution of the Yangtze River to Chinese and global craft civilizations. The exhibition is open from September 26th to December 15th, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.
