Bing’an Ancient Town is a typical ancient market town at the junction of southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou, located on the ancient Sichuan-Guizhou road. Bing’an Ancient Town is bordered by Chishui River on three sides. You can see many stilted buildings supported by hundreds of logs on the rocks by the river. It is very spectacular. Taking some photos here is excellent. There is only one narrow flagstone street in the town, about 400 meters long. Since ancient times, it has always been an important place for commodity trading of several surrounding villages. The commercial atmosphere here is not very strong. There are various local specialties and handicrafts. Tourists interested in history can visit the Exhibition Hall of the First Army Corps to learn about the history of the Red Army’s four crossings of Chishui River.
