Located near Xiang Wang’s Hometown on Xingfu South Road in Suqian City, the Xiang Wang Wax Museum was first established in April 2002, covering an area of 6000 square meters. It is divided into five major exhibition halls, detailing eight historical stories from the Chu-Han period, such as ‘Xiang Yu’s Uprising’, ‘Angry Killing of Song Yi’, ‘Breaking the Pots and Sinking the Boats’, ‘Great Victory in Pengcheng’, ‘Xiang Yu’s Apology at Hongmen’, and ‘Surrounded at Gaixia’.
Dozens of lifelike wax figures bring to life the stories on both sides of the corridor, where folk tales of the Overlord are engraved. The realistic wax figures transport visitors back to the chaotic war scenes over two thousand years ago, where heroes competed and smoke signals rose. Visitors are captivated and impressed by Xiang Yu’s heroic spirit, ‘lifting mountains and covering the world with his might’, and feel regret for his defeat at Wu River, where he committed suicide with his sword. The tragic and grand demeanor of the Western Chu Overlord, which shocked the heavens and earth and made ghosts and gods weep, lingers in their memories. The museum is open all year round from 08:00 to 18:00, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.Xiang Wang Wax Museum
