The works in this exhibition span nearly two decades. They include typical surrealistic urban photography by artists such as Gu Zheng, Jiang Xue, and Lu Yuanmin; meticulously crafted fantastic narratives by btr, Cheng Liang, Zheng Yaohua, and Zhou Yulong; and artists like Peter Aerschmann, Chen Wei, Miao Jiaxin, Zhang Xiaochuan, and Zhu Hao, who combine collage, appropriation, digital technology, installation, performance, and readymades, showcasing the new possibilities of fantastic art today. These works are highly personalized expressions of the artists, reflecting the confusion, loss, surprise, or uncertainty felt in modern urban life, as well as the blurriness of history and social tensions, allowing a glimpse into the often unseen truths of the inner and outer worlds. These works are also characterized by concrete language, using vivid imagery and bizarre narrative threads to create captivating fantastic moments. The exhibition is open from October 13th to January 26th, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
