Paul Cézanne (1839-1906), the father of modern painting in the 20th century, believed that ‘everything can be represented by spheres, cylinders, and cones. Nature is composed of geometric shapes.’ This has had a profound impact on the shaping concepts of creators. This creation attempts to combine Eastern and Western cultural theories and techniques to express unique connotations in one’s own creations. It also presents traditional spirit in an innovative and personally unique way. The natural interpretation, environmental experience, and the pursuit of self-identity are the goals and ideals that many artists constantly pursue and practice. Based on this, after years of research and creation on the Fu Lion series of works, the aesthetic concept is integrated into all aspects of life to convey the creation and value of humanistic spirit. In the creation process, through feelings and insights from life, it is presented through the combination of sensibility and rationality, making the image of stone lions present different aesthetics and changes. Imagery is the inner feeling, that is, the image is born from the heart. The stone lion series of works create diverse and rich shapes through the expressions of form, meaning, context, and charm, presenting the visual beauty of charm. As Fu Lions represent the close relationship between beasts and people, some imaginations are generated. The diversity of forms presented hides anthropomorphic expressions and postures, giving people the feelings of joy, amusement, and pleasure. Find oneself in creation, and further temper oneself through the creative process, express inner feelings, and then give birth to Eastern cultural philosophical thoughts and aesthetic concepts, and show aesthetic elements of one’s own style.
