Jiuzhang Dianyuan is located in Jiuzhang Village, Shatou Town, Yongjia County, and is at the heart of the Nanxi River Scenic and Tourist Area. It is also situated at the golden section where the Dananxi and Xiananxi rivers converge, making it one of the main attractions in the Nanxi River Scenic Area. Nanxi River Dianyuan Bamboo Rafting allows visitors to ride on the traditional bamboo rafts, known as ‘cai pai’, which were once the primary mode of transportation for locals. Drifting downstream, one can enjoy the scenery known as ‘Yongjia’s landscape, which is unique in China for its pastoral and mountain scenery’. The water is clear and tranquil, the mountains lush and green, the terraced fields layered, and the ancient villages graceful, reminiscent of the leisurely atmosphere described by poets of the Tang Dynasty’s pastoral school, and akin to the utopia depicted by Tao Yuanming.
