Mile Valley Scenic Area is one of the components of the Cloth Bag Mountain Scenic Area. The unique geological conditions in the scenic area have created a landscape of red cliffs, hanging rocks, plank roads, and suspension bridges, along with pavilions and waterside pavilions. The area boasts lush green forests, clear springs, ancient trees, and a variety of exotic plants, as well as cascading waterfalls and the melodious sound of flowing springs, making it a breathtakingly beautiful spot. In the several kilometers long Cloth Bag Pit, there are numerous peculiar rocks: some resemble a mighty lion, others look like an elderly monk listening to the spring, some are like Milei welcoming visitors, and there are also two stones facing each other known as ‘Dragon’s Gate’. The waterfall groups are widespread, with over ten large and small waterfalls, including large ones that cascade down, the ‘Threefold Waterfall’ that has three sections connected, and the ‘Twin Dragon Waterfall’ where two waterfalls intertwine, among other wonderful sights. The area features mountains and rocks, pools and waterfalls, bamboo and forests, pavilions and waterside pavilions, corridors and bridges… It embodies the characteristics of the Jiangnan landscape gardens in China. Mile Valley Scenic Area also has a unique cultural characteristic. On Cloth Bag Mountain, many mountain shapes resemble the image of Maitreya Buddha. The scenic area is open all year round from 08:00 to 16:00, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
