Yuntai Garden is located at the entrance of the picturesque Baiyun Mountain, backed by Yuntai Ridge. The garden is lush with vegetation, and a variety of precious flowers bloom throughout the seasons in a spectacular display of color. Modeled after Canada’s Butchart Gardens, it is known as the ‘Pearl of the Flower City’ and is an ideal place for flower appreciation.
The overall layout of Yuntai Garden combines Eastern and Western architectural arts, showcasing a unique garden style. The wide steps facing the main gate are made of glass, with the colorful and sparkling Yan Lake at the top. The circular lights at the bottom of the lake are clearly visible. Every night, the lake, illuminated by colorful lights, slowly flows down the glass steps, creating an illusion of a multicolored waterfall descending from the sky, dreamlike and enchanting.
Yuntai Garden also features an ultra-large rose garden, home to hundreds of rose varieties. From the tiny diamond roses the size of a finger to the impressive 20-centimeter-diameter Zhuangyuan Red roses, and the rare century-old rose trees, visitors can admire their beauty here. In addition, Yuntai Garden hosts various large-scale themed flower exhibitions annually, and during the Mid-Autumn Festival, a grand lantern event is held, making it a lively and worthwhile destination.
