The unique scenery of Nanhaiwan Forest Ecological Park combines the essence of antiquity, grandeur, tranquility, seclusion, and beauty. Marvels such as peculiar pines, secluded valleys, grotesque rocks, clear waters, and elegant mountains are all naturally crafted, offering a feast for the eyes. The Silver Stream, referred to as the ‘soul’ of the scenic area, stretches for dozens of miles with water that never dries up. Within the park, there are divine pools with turbulent waters, waterfalls, ancient bamboo forests, and densely entwined vines. The deep forest areas are rich in negative ions, making it an ideal place for ‘forest bathing’. Nanhaiwan Forest Ecological Park is also known as ‘Guangdong’s Little Jiuzhaigou’.

A ‘dong’ is a term used by ancient Taoism for a relatively large complex of buildings. Qingyundong is located on the Carp Ridge of Chashan on the west bank of the South China Sea, backed by the remaining ridges of Guangxi’s hundred thousand mountains – Chashan, and facing the second-largest river in China by flow – the Xijiang River, overlooking Xiqiao and Jiujiang across the river. The surrounding one hundred and eight peaks are layered with greenery, offering a clear and beautiful mountain view, with flowing springs and waterfalls, creating an elegant and serene landscape.

Qingyundong is renowned for its long history, majestic presence, beautiful environment, meticulous craftsmanship, exquisite design, numerous branches worldwide, and its overall strength, making it a unique Taoist venue in Lingnan.
