The Pineapple Garden covers an area of about 24 mu (1.6 hectares). There are currently 25 genera of Bromeliaceae plants, about 350 species (including varieties). It is divided into display areas for tank bromeliads, strange bromeliads and terrestrial bromeliads.
Bromeliaceae plants are native to tropical America. There are more than 2,000 species. They have gorgeous and lasting blossoms. Many are used as ornamental flowers, such as Neoregelia carolinae tricolor, Billbergia pyramidalis, Guzmania lingulata, Cryptanthus acaulis, Aechmea fasciata, Vriesea carinata, etc. In 2005, the Pineapple Garden was rebuilt from the tropical plant exhibition greenhouse built in 1978. In the nearly 1,000-square-meter greenhouse, tropical plants such as Synsepalum dulcificum, Persea americana var. drymifolia, Cananga odorata, Ochna integerrima, Coffea arabica, Lucuma nervosa are planted.
