The Yuexiu Park Spring Festival Lantern Show will be held from January 16th to February 16th, 2025, at Yuexiu Park, with temporary enclosures and fees for the lantern areas. This event has been organized since 2012, and this year marks the 11th edition. The theme for the 2025 Yuexiu Park Spring Festival Lantern Show is ‘Blooming Yuexiu, Encountering Koi,’ featuring ten main content sections: ‘Auspicious Wealth, Poetic Metropolis, Encountering Koi, World of Innocence, Vibrant Bay Area, Creative Lantern Paintings, Blooming Yuexiu, Joyous Banquet, Trendy Yuexiu, and Atmospheric Decorations.
‘ Combining art and technology, the koi, a culturally significant symbol, is introduced to immerse visitors in the festive atmosphere of Yuexiu Park during the Spring Festival, appreciate the profound Lingnan culture, marvel at the wonders of lantern art, and express New Year’s wishes. By constructing diverse narrative scenes, unique stories of Yuexiu Park are told, shaping its cultural ambiance, highlighting its humanistic characteristics, enhancing its brand image, and creating a new atmosphere and experience filled with interactivity, life, immersion, and warmth, crafting a distinctively cultural Guangzhou New Year Lantern Show.Opening Hours: Lantern Festival 6:00-24:00; New Year’s Eve to the seventh day 6:00-23:00; other dates 6:00-22:00; Lighting Hours: Lantern Festival 18:00-24:00; New Year’s Eve to the seventh day 18:00-23:00; other dates 18:00-22:00.
